JUNEAU & BEYOND

DAYS 1 - 3

Let the adventure begin! After arriving in Juneau and settling into your choice of accommodation, you have the option of exploring the city or embarking on an afternoon helicopter ride and short scenic hike atop Mendenhall Glacier. Then meet your hosts, Angie and Carlos, and your traveling companions during a private, indulgent dinner of Bristol Bay king crab at Tracy’s Crab Shack. The next morning, you’ll enjoy a specially-arranged sightseeing tour of Juneau before boarding UnCruise’s Safari Explorer in the afternoon and settling into your stateroom. On day 3, kayak or paddleboard and experience Lynn Canal or Chatham Strait. Be on the lookout for nature’s most interesting spectacles — bald eagles dot the treetops, harbor seals rest on drifting glacial ice, and orcas skim the water’s surface.

GLACIER BAY NATIONAL PARK & BEYOND

DAYS 4 - 6

On day 4, you will sail into Glacier Bay National Park. Comprised of 3.3 million acres, this UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve is larger than the mind can comprehend. A park ranger will join in on your day’s exploration to share the park’s history and help you birdwatch for puffins, guillemots, and marbled murrelets, to name a few. Up bay, glacial silt from Margerie and Grand Pacific Glaciers turn the water a milky white. Explore the remote and wild Icy Strait on day 5, and as you approach the open waters of the Pacific, be on the lookout for whales and dolphins that hitch a ride on the bow wave. Stretch into day 6 with on-deck morning yoga (offered every day) before exploring glacier-carved fjords along the Chichagof coast. With your camera in hand, set off on land to hike Tongass National Forest. Later, explore the Peril Strait, a twisting channel known for dramatic currents.

SERGIUS NARROWS & BEYOND

DAYS 7 - 9

On day 7, awaken to sights of the enigmatic forest covered in morning fog along the aptly-named Sergius Narrows, which tapers to a mere 300 feet. This is the perfect environment to go ashore and hike into the backcountry in hopes of catching a glimpse of bears fishing for salmon. Upon your return, soak in the hot tub and watch the scenery change as the light begins to fade. On the final full day of your expedition, you will sail into the Neva Strait. Baranof Island creates endless opportunities for adventure — drop anchor and explore by kayak, paddleboard, or skiff. This is an excellent spot to beach comb and search for sea lions and whales. Top off your unforgettable journey with a festive farewell dinner, and cruise into Sitka the next morning filled with unforgettable memories.
